Best Bets & Free MLK Day Events

*FREE* On Saturday, Lowes stores are hosting a Build and Grow Clinic for kids. At 10am kids can make a wooden castle.

Young Actors Theatre presents Rapunzel at the Athenaeum Theatre (401 E. Michigan St.) on the following days: Friday, January 13th 5:30pm, Saturday, January 14th 4:00pm, Saturday, January 21st 1:00pm, Sunday, January 22nd 2:00pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students.

Young Actors Theatre also is performing Stuart Little at the Athenaeum Theatre. Showtimes are Saturday, January 14th 1:00pm, Sunday, January 15th 2:00pm, Friday, January 20th 5:30pm, and Saturday, January 21st 4:00pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr Day Events

*FREE* The attractions at White River State Park are offering free admission in exchange for canned goods. One can per person/per attraction will get you into six major attractions. They include Eiteljorg Museum, IMAX Theater, Indiana State Museum, Indianapolis Zoo, NCAA Hall of Champions and Victory Field. The IMAX Theater is also holding a blood drive and donors will receive free popcorn and Victory Field is offering free health screenings.

*FREE* Admission is also free at The Children's Museum of Indianapolis from 10am-5pm on Monday. The museum will have special activities and performances celebrating the life and achievements of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 

*FREE* The Indiana Historical Society is offering free admission to the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center on Monday. Celebrate Dr. King by visiting the You Are There 1968: Robert F. Kennedy Speaks exhibit.

*FREE*  Admission is also free at Conner Prairie on Monday. Guests are encouraged to bring a canned good item for donation.

The Harlem Globetotters are in town on Monday. See them in action at Bankers Life Fieldhouse at 2pm.
