Halloween Weekend Best Bets

*FREE* On Saturday, October 29 12-5 take your family to the Indianapolis Art Center for the Mexican tradition, Day of the Dead. Day of the Dead is a family celebration, a reunion of the living with their deceased relatives.



Take your kids to Vampire Vacation at the Children's Museum of Indianapolis. This kid friendly Haunted House is recognized by Rand McNally as one of the Top Ten Haunted Houses in the nation. If you don't want to get too scared, go during the friendly lights on hours.

Friendly Hours:
Friday & Saturday: 10 a.m.–3 p.m.
Sunday: 11 a.m.–5 p.m.
Halloween*: 10 a.m.–3 p.m.(*only the Haunted House will be open on Halloween. Museum closed.)
Frightening Hours:
Fridays & Saturday: 3:30–9:30 p.m.
Tickets are $6 for members; $6.50 for non members. Children under 2 are free.

Go trick or treating with the animals. Halloween Zoo Boo at the Indianapolis Zoo is 28-30 from 2-7pm. It is free for members and included with zoo admission. Kids can also enjoy activities in two pavilions, a new obstacle course and costume parade, and the rides feature a Halloween twist.

Spend a spooky evening with your family at the Headless Horseman at Conner Prairie. Take a hayride and watch as the Headless Horseman rides again. It's October 28-29.

Sunday tickets: $9 presale/$11 at the gate
Friday & Saturday tickets: $13 presale/$15 at the gate
Presale tickets are available at Central Indiana Marsh, MainStreet and O'Malia's locations.
*Admission is free for Plus Level members and above each night.
