Happy Mother's Day! There is a lot to do in Indy this weekend!
**FREE** Chase 500 Festival Kids Day - Monument Circle - Saturday, May 11 Noon-4 p.m. - Head downtown to Monument Circle for this annual event to celebrate the 500. Kids can enjoy live entertainment by KIDZ BOP Kids, do arts and crafts with the 500 Festival Princesses, take a ride on the Ferris wheel and much more.
Chase 500 Festival Rookie Run - Downtown at Meridian and Ohio - Saturday, May 11 1 p.m. - While you are at the 500 Festival Kids Day, kids can participate in the Chase 500 Festival Rookie Run. This non-competitive fun run is for ages 3-12. All participants receive a goodie bag, a runners bib and a medal. The entry fee is $10.
**FREE** Festival on Main - Speedway - Friday, May 10 6-10 p.m. - Head to Speedway to enjoy live music, a car show, KidZone, food trucks and more. Admission is free but registration is required for KidZone and some activities require an admission fee.
Indianapolis Indians - Victory Field - Saturday-Monday- The Indians are home Saturday through Monday, with special packages on Mother's Day. Packages start at $50 and include two box seats, an Indians logo baseball and post game field access. Not interested in the package, but want to attend the game, check out the lawn seats starting at $10. Also, children 14 and under eat free on Sundays. This includes a hot dog, chips and bottle of water. On Monday, everyone eats cheap with the Dollar Menu.
**FREE** Danville Farmers Market and Geranium Festival - Danville Courthouse Square - Saturday - Help kick off the new season for the Danville Farmers Market and attend the Geranium Festival. Enjoy an art display, gardening materials and of course, geraniums. **FREE** Rural Routes to Main Street - Second Saturdays - Saturday 11 a.m.-3 p.m.- Take a drive through Hendricks and Morgan Counties and visit more than 30 artisan destinations. On Second Saturdays you can see many of the artists at work and enjoy special activities. I have visited many of the Second Saturdays sites and highly recommend this tour.
Mother's day Heirloom Plant Sale - Conner Prairie - Friday 4-7 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. - Shop for plants, flowers and herbs at Conner Prairie. Many are locally grown or from Conner Prairie's own gardens.

Best Bets and Easter Egg Hunts
There are lots of Easter Egg Hunts this weekend. In this week’s blog, I’m starting
out with the other activities and then you will see a list of hunts.
Conner Prairie - Opening Weekend – Conner Prairie’s outdoor
experience areas are now open for the season. The weather should be nice on
Friday and Saturday to spend some time outdoors. Tickets are $15 for adults and
$10 for ages 2-12.
**FREE** Egg-stravaganza at McCloud Nature Park – North Salem
– March 30 1-4 pm – Go for a hike with a
naturalist to search for cotton-tail rabbits or take a self-led hike. Then head
back to the Nature Center to learn about natural alternatives to dyes and
create a springtime bouquet out of recycled egg cartons.
Children’s Museum of Indianapolis – Super Heroes - If you want to spend time indoors, take your children to the Children’s Museum for Super Heroes. Admission is $13.50 2-17; $18.50 18-59; $17.50 60+.
